Bridge Solutions Spans the Gap Between Clients and their Customer Needs – Smarter Commerce Global Summit

by | Sep 9, 2011 | Blog, Conferences, Supply Chain

Bridge Solutions Group, a boutique consulting firm, is a premier sponsor of the second annual Smarter Commerce Global Summit, to be held in San Diego on September 19-21.  We spoke with Doug Brochu, Director of Services at Bridge Solutions, to get their story on what Smarter Commerce means to them and what they’ll bring to attendees.

What does Smarter Commerce mean to Bridge Solutions?

To us, Smarter Commerce is a key strategy for companies looking to better serve their customers by responding to all their needs throughout the entire commerce relationship.  We have the same goal for our customers.  We assist companies in implementing IBM Sterling solutions to help them optimize their buying activities, such as sourcing, control, and procurement of goods and materials, and their commerce processes for sales and fulfillment of products and services across all channels.

Tell us about your partnership with IBM.

Bridge Solutions is an IBM partner and has the ability to sell the IBM Sterling products and also provide implementation services.  Our differentiator is the quality of our resources and our commitment to forging a true partnership with our customers.  For example, we have the expertise and training capabilities to ensure that before the applications go live, our customer is fully self-sufficient in both maintenance and configuration of the applications.

Bridge Solutions is a top-tier services provider for all the IBM Sterling solutions, including IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite.  Our experts have deep industry expertise in supply chain challenges and utilize these products to transform businesses by optimizing their buying, selling, and fulfillment processes.

Tell us what Bridge Solutions will be doing at the Smarter Commerce Global Summit.

The Smarter Commerce Summit provides a great opportunity for customers and Bridge Solutions to catch up with all levels of IBM, from engineering, product management, and sales, to better understand the trends that are shaping the industry.  The conference also provides an excellent opportunity for Bridge Solutions to speak with numerous customers and IBMers about the strategic services we offer.

At the Summit, we will participate in technical sessions and road map presentations to make sure we continue to provide our customers with the latest and greatest information.  We are pleased to be participating in a panel session with one of our customers, S.P. Richards Co. entitled, “Sell & Service: Innovations in Customer Centric Selling and Service.”   The session outlines how S.P. Richards moved from a custom-built order management system to a packaged solution.  Using a phased approach, the company will share some of the best practices and challenges with the implementation.

The session, 2919A Case Study, will be held Tuesday, September 20 at 1:30 pm in Marriott 6.

What are you looking forward to most at the Smarter Commerce Global Summit?

We are excited about how Sterling Commerce has been integrated into IBM since the acquisition.  At the summit, we look forward to having face-to-face discussions about the complete IBM Sterling solution and Smarter Commerce offerings.
