Joel Farquhar owns Pivotree’s technology vision and AI transformation, serving as the executive-level voice of technology across all platforms and services. He’s betting on a world where “service is the new software”, where clients buy outcomes, not licenses. With 25+ years architecting enterprise commerce for the world’s leading retailers, distributors and manufacturers, Joel joined Pivotree at its founding and rose through its most senior technology roles before stepping into the CTO seat. Today he’s putting AI to work across Pivotree’s entire service catalogue, turning experimentation into production and driving the company’s vision for agentic, frictionless commerce.
Joel holds an Honours degree in Computer Science and a BA in Psychology from Carleton University. He is based in Ottawa.
